Don’s Bin is short for Donation Basket. Don’s Bin is a project that was sprung off of the idea of Johnathan’s Card, a project also known as Take-A-Coffee, Leave-A-Coffee. Don’s Bin is a collection of all of the new cards that sprung out of this project to make sure the idea lasts forever. Basically, users submit their card numbers and an image of the bar code on their phone. We would try to aggregate these into a database, or in this case a basket (Clever eh?).

1. How do I know you guys won’t just steal all the balance?

The thing is, you don’t. As WireShout operates this service, we have access to this information. Parts of this info are made public so everyone can use the service. If you don’t want to use this, feel free not too, we aren’t making you do anything. We don’t plan on taking everything, but we may use a card to grab a bite to eat once in a while.

2. Why are you doing this?

We run this as a public service as we believe in the same reason the original idea was created, to be nice.

3. Does this service violate the TOS of the card?

No, we are just hosting the information for freedom of exchange, just like most text pasting services just host text, it could be for any reason, but having the information there is completely legal. The actual use of the service (using/submitting/adding to a card) may though. By submitting the card, you are transferring it to anyone who wants to use it; same with using and adding it.

4. Can the system be hacked?

Nothing is full-proof.

5. I submitted a card but want it removed.

6. I went to a store but it didn’t work!

Either the card was deactivated by Starbucks, there is no balance on the card, or something went wrong. Contact us below with the card number and we will look into it.

To submit your card, head over to our Facebook Page and post your barcode screenshot and your title you want to be on the app. We will check to make sure you want to do it and if so, we will add it within 48 hours.
